Create Your Imagination~Visible Image Stamp Playtime

Hello!

Today I have a small project to share with you, thanks so much for visiting!

I started off making a postcard, so it is 4 inches by 6 inches on mixed media paper. I added lots of fun layers of Distress Ink and water. I have just picked up some of the micro beads and wanted to play with those too.  Then I was looking at my dies and have this Spellbinders Aster flower that was calling out to me, so I had to make one! I really like how it frames the awesome sentiment by Visible Image, "Create your imagination" from the "This is me", set.

So now my postcard has dimension, which is really fun but I don't think it would go into the mail system very well as a traditional postcard! So it is a small canvas with lots of color!

Thanks for stopping by! Make sure to visit Visible Image as you have time today.

Baby, it's cold outside~Holiday Art Tag

Hello!

Today I have a bit more winter spirit inspiration to share. I used one of the new Visible Image Christmas stamp sets, "Baby, it's cold outside". The snowflake is so detailed and so awesome for any Winter project.

The background is layered with some stencil work, Tim Holtz "Gothic" with modeling paste. Then several layers of DecoArt acrylic paint, antiquing cream and some Distress paint.

I used Ranger Super Fine White embossing powder on the beautiful snowflake and sentiment.

Have a great day!

"Love Yourself"~Mail Art Postcard

Hello!

Today I want to share a postcard for my weekly Visible Image creative make.

The postcard is 4 inches by 6 inches and cut from Canson Mixed Media paper.  I picked my go to soothing colors of Distress Ink, Cracked Pistachio and Mermaid Lagoon. I added the happy bubbles with an ARTplorations stencil and DecoArt modeling paste.

The word art sentiment Love Yourself is part of the No Regrets set. I heat embossed all the stamps in white EP, Ranger Superfine

I think Flower INKognito is my most favorite Visible Image stamp...it is so fun to use in so many ways. I hope someday there would be a smaller version and some cousins for this beauty :)

I adore the stem is a separate piece from the flower. The stem works great for any grungy touch needed :) It is a fantastic set.

I hope you have a fantastic week and can steal some time for creative play!

Visible Image Inspiration~Vintage Tag~Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree

Happy Sunday!

Welcome September! The weather is just starting to change, finally a bit cooler here and just a teeny bit crisp at night. Fall is just around the corner, wow!

More than enough time to get started on Holiday play projects, Fall is so fun for so many occassions to celebrate. Today I want to share an art tag I made for Visible Image stamps using the awesome Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree stamp set, new for 2015.

I went all vintagy-rustic tones using DecoArt Crackle, Decoupage Paper medium, Vintage Photo Distress Ink, Distress Spray ink and various alcohol inks.

The complete tag, above.

The Distress Spray made a nice shimmer on the trees. It is stamped using Fern Green Archival ink.

I used DecoArt Crackle medium on top of some papers I had layered for the bottom of the tag using Decoupage Paper medium.

I added some alcohol inks to highlight the cracks once dry. The tag is edged with Potting Soil Archival Ink.
