Sunday Play with Visible Image~Art Tag

Happy Sunday!

Today is my day to share some Visible Image play with you :)

Hope you are having an awesome day!

Today I decided to play with the "Corners of Your Mind" Visible Image stamp. I love how flexible this stamp is, it can easily convey many moods. Looking for the brightness what I am seeking in this moment.

Please click each photo to see a bit bigger :)

My background is layered up with watercolor paper, veggie printed paper and a plain index card.

I added more texture with my favorite modeling paste by DecoArt using a Tim Holtz stencil,
"Dot Fade".

I edged each layer with a Distress Paint dabber in my favorite blue. Added some fine black spatter, too by using an old toothbrush.

Have an amazing day!

Just an FYI, orders from Visible Image will be delayed while Helen and Mark enjoy a much deserved Holiday, patience and understanding are warmly welcomed!

Visible Image Sunday Play~Simple Notecards~INKognito

Hi!

Happy Sunday!

Today it's my turn to share some creative Visible Image playtime. The kids are off from school and the time ran away from me a teeny bit. So, I wanted to make something simple and bright.

Hope you like them!

Using some of my most favorite stamps and Inktense Color Blocks, I made some clean and simple notecards. I used the Flower INKognito and Butterfly INKognito Visible Image stamps.

I applied the color block directly onto the stamps in various scribbles.

Misted the stamp with water, Inktense color blocks activate with water and
when dry are very stable and permanent.
The images are stamped onto watercolor paper I cut to size before stamping.

Stamp away, I could easily do tons of these and not get bored!
Each one even using the same colors comes out unique.

Thanks for looking and hope you can make a bit of time to play!
hugs

Things to Alter~July Challenge Anything Goes~"Practice Kindness"

Happy July!

Today starts a brand new challenge at Things to Alter with a theme of Anything Goes! The lucky winner will receive some awesome MDF by Jac but you have to play to win, hope to see you soon!

This is the project I made as part of Jac's creative team.

The substrate is another dollar store plaque I found and lots of MDF goodness!

Our theme was Shabby Chic until we decided to do Anything Goes to encourage more mixed media players,  so with that theme still in mind, here is my attempt at Shabby Chic.

I really love the softer colors and how well they play with texture!

The canvas is 6 inches by 6 inches.
My Ingredients:
Things to Alter MDF:

Paperclay flowers coated in gesso and layers of Distress Paint.

Highlights and some shine with Tattered Angels Glimmer Glam and Glimmer Glaze. I really love the Glaze for a 'sealing' layer.

The dollar store substrate is covered with lace from an old not so-old lacey dress. I attached the lace with some mat medium then gesso'd over the drop so the drippy drips would stay put.

I left the nest and sweet heart birds in the natural MDF color :) for POP

Have a great day and hope to see you play soon!

Happy Weekend!
