Happy Halloween!
Today I am sharing a new project....shhhh we are not going to talk about not having created anything for awhile....shhhhhush....
One day while looking at Instagram a post popped up from Susanne Rose where she shared a technique that sparked my imagination. She made Gelli plate prints on sticker paper then stamped on them to make her own stickers! This had me SOLD and wow I actually had everything to do this, yay!
All projects must be supervised:
I used my Gelli plate and DecoArt Americana acrylic paints and created a bunch of painted sheets of sticker paper. I had some sticker papers from Online Labels that seemed to work just fine.
I used StazOn ink to stamp so it would dry and not smear. I also used my Tim Holtz stamping platform to make sure I could get a great stamped image, not feeling certain I could freehand stamp the images as well as I wanted.
Images stamped and fussy cut ~ instant stickers! Who doe not LOVE sticking stickers??? This was feeling so satisfying and to me a fast and easy arty play!
I wanted the stickers to look like stickers so I edged them with the Sharpie Creative Markers (acrylic paint) and some Posca paint markers.
Narrowing down the stickers for the art journal page...and playing with arrangements.
Save the scraps from fussy cutting. Tear them to use on the layouts.
Color in the stamps or not embellish them how you like, this is the freeing part of art-ing. What makes sense to YOU? Do it, don't worry about it. There are no mistakes. This is what I try to keep running in my brain to move forward...
Torn edge background gelli paper and scrap on the side to add some depth and lovely texture.

Thanks so much for scrolling down this far! I hope you are intrigued and will try making your own stamped stickers. Sticker paper or even a Xyron machine can make it fast and fun!
Go on now get some painty and inky hands!
