APCC Week 24~Altered Playing Card Challenge~Washi Tape

Two for Tuesday!

Today I have my week 24 card pair done! Which is awesome because I love this challenge and super awesome because this week's prompt included the use of washi tape!

You can see and join the fun HERE at Claudine's blog. We are on week 24 of this 26 week project and I cannot believe it has gone so fast! If you want to play along, it is totally fine! There is a Facebook group that we post in and it will carry on, so everyone is welcome to join up anytime.

This is such a fun way to play and this technique....I LOVE it! I will be making more to share for sure! Claudine has a fabulous how-to HERE on her blog.

To me is was simple as simple can be. Cover the card with an arrangement of tape. You can use tape, ribbon or paper strips, whatever suits your fancy. Just use some glue or sticky tape to keep all the pretty rows in place.

I used a fun stamp and some Distress Ink for color on this purple background. I love this corset stamp! So fun! It is Graphic 45/Hampton art. The "Paris" stamp is Tim Holtz.

I used a Tim Holtz mini butterfly thin die to cut here. The hearts die is Simon Says Stamp. I embossed the manila layer with a Cuttlebug embossing folder. It is inked with Tea Dye Distress Ink and edged with Potted Soil Archival Ink.

What do you think? I am so excited to share these with you and really hope you can incorporate this into your makes!

October 12~ 31 Days of Halloween Wicked Blogger Challenge Day 12~APCC Week 6 Card 1

Greetings this Sunny Sunday!

We are at Day 12 of 31!

As always you can start your journey at Terra's blog, pick up the Scavenger Hunt clue for the day then Hop along! I have the Wicked Blogger Hop List posted on the right sidebar should you get lost!

Today's project was inspired by the Altered Playing Card 26 week challenge I have been playing along with as well. This week's play inspiration can be found off the link HERE and if you want to play along see this PAGE. Claudine is awesome and this play is truly great fun!

This is so fun partly due, well especially true since the playing card is about the size of an ATC. I am really lovin' smallness.

This play's basics are acrylic paint and washi tape. Run from there! All the layers are pretty clear. I used another playing card to add the red acrylic paint. I spread it on then started pressing it down and pulling it back up. It made a fun 'bloody' look!  Then I used a toothpick to scratch the white lines.

Once the red was there and the images, it just had to be toxic!

Thank  you all truly for your kind comments! It really keeps me inspired to keep playin'
~hugs~
Hoping you like what you see!
