Merry Christmas Card~Day 4 Unruly PaperArts 12 Days Link Party~Gecko Galz Challenge

Hello!

Today I made a fun card to add to the Day 4 Unruly PaperArts 12 Days of Christmas Link Party and to share with the Gecko Galz December Challenge Winter Wonderland.

Click each image to make the photos bigger.

I made a layered base from a manilla folder. Had some fun adding paint and stencils. Did a bit of embossing, love the white snowy dots!

I added the tress from a Gecko Galz collage sheet. The sentiment is stamped with Archival Ink and clear embossed. I stamped the holly leaf on a book page and trimmed it. I added some Distress Ink for soft color.

Thanks so much for visiting and I hope you can make time to play along, too!

Creepmas Joy~Smeared Ink Day~12 Days of Creepmas AND Unruly PaperArts Link Party

Wonderful Wednesday!

Welcome to Day 2 of 12 Days of Creepmas! You can see all the fun details of this Hop HERE, at Terra's Blog:)

This is Day 3 of UnrulyPaperArts, UPA, 12 Days of Christmas Link Party, join the fun HERE.

For this day of Creepmas, the added challenge is to use Smeared Ink stamps, rubber or digi.

I love tags, ATCs and Altered Playing Cards(APC), so I think this year my Christmas tree is going to have lots of new decorations! And some really awesome gift tags:)

All images on the tag are digital and printed on my inkjet printer. I used Sharpies and Bic Mark Its to color. The tree topper is my favorite Smeared Ink, a Grumpie, love them! The steampunky kitty and gifts are part of the Steampunk Christmas digi set. The background is also a Smeared Ink digital paper in the set Icy.

The sentiment is Tim Holtz alpa stickers, still wanting a real Dymo tape label maker:)
I edged the tag with Distress Ink Faded Jeans and Black Soot.

Have fun on both Hops today! The Creepmas Hop list is at the top on the right in case you are lost.

The Unruly PaperArts Hop Link Party is HERE

I am also sharing at Smudgy Antics, which is back with a new Anything Goes Challenge, the only requirement is to use at least one Smeared Ink stamp, rubber or digi somewhere.

I do hope you pop over to all these wonderful places to play! Share some comment love along the way :)

Playtime Winter Penguin Tag~Unruly PaperArts Link Party

Happy Tuesday!
December 2........
already! WOW!

Just a quick share today. I made a gift tag using a digital stamp from Heidi at 2CuteInk. She is giving away this cute penguin until December 8th with a free signup for her newsletter.

I am also sharing this tag with the 2CuteInk Facebook group and Unruly PaperArts 12 Days of Christmas Link Party. Both spots are so much fun to play in, pop over to see the cool creations when you have a moment:)

My Merriest Wishes sweetie penguin is colored with Sharpie and Bic Mark It pens. The sentiment stamps and reindeer are Momenta. They are stamped with Potting Soil Archival Ink. "Merriest Wishes" is clear embossed with Ranger Super Fine powder.

The background is Tim Holtz Gothic stencil inked with Peacock Feathers Distress Ink. I edged the tag with Peacock Feathers also. I love this color!

I hope you like this cutie and feel inspired to check out the fun links above!

Have a beautiful day!

I plan on  having lots of Holiday projects to share....let's see if I can....... :)

12 Days of Creepmas is sponsored by Smeared and Smudged, Smeared Ink shop and hosted by the lovely Terra, you can see the Hop details at Terra's blog HERE.

The Jolly Blogger Hop Roll is posted there on the right with the supremely creepy flowered Ms Skele. She will stay there all month 'cuz she is awesome.

Closing out October with the 31 Days of Halloween was a blast! For that challenge it required a new project each day. Creepmas is just 12 days, do-able right? at least I hope so if the Fates are kindly :)
Creepmas 2014 will post on the odd days this month culminating on December 23rd. I hope you have fun on the Hop and have a safe and fun Holiday Season!

Onwards!

I have used the Creepmas Greetings Snowman digital stamp by Rick Saint Dennis. It is printed with a Smeared Ink background. I hand colored with Sharpies and Bic Mark It pens. I added some embossed snowflakes and assorted washi tape to frame my mini poster:)

Thanks so much for stopping by and hope you are ready for a haunting and creepy Holiday Season.

For your Blog Hop Roll, scroll back up and look to the right.

Have a spectacularly creepy Monday!

Mixed Media Mojo DT Inspiration~December 2014~Ornament~Unruly PaperArts 12 Days of Christmas

Hello!

Welcome December! Wow!! So amazing how fast December has arrived!

Today brings lots of fun stuff! This is a very busy month for many people all over. I appreciate you making the time to visit and hope you have an extra moment to leave a word or two.

This month I am also playing along with Smeared and Smudged Creepmas Challenge, if you are looking for my Creepmas, you can follow this link HERE.

Also I am playing at Unruly PaperArts 12 Days of Christmas Link Party, yes I know this is crazy but it is so FUN!

This day brings the December 2014 challenge for Mixed Media Mojo. This month is fun and simple and we really hope you can play along with us. The theme is Winter/Winter Holidays and the twist is Ornaments! You can play along anytime this month, we would love to see what you are making!

Here is my Mixed Media Mojo project, hope you like it! Please click the photos to see a larger version :)

I started with a silver shiny star ornament I found at the Dollar Tree store. It was complete with the bell attached.

I inked it with alcohol ink. The alcohol ink ink sticks to metal and plastic which is awesome. It was still too shiny so I decided to clear emboss it. I used Ranger Embossing Ink Dabber to apply the embossing fluid. Then coated with Ranger Extra Fine Embossing Powder. As with all heat embossing, be careful it is HOT. The metal gets even hotter! The star I simply heated while it was flat on the tile counter. The blue bell I embossed with Ranger White powder. I held the bell with a pair of long tweezers. The metal stays hot much longer than paper so take care when embossing.

The embossing gave some nice texture, I am happy with it :)

That part done, set it aside and did the stamp. I used one of my favorite Holtz stamps, the Three Gentlemen. The Steampunk Wise Men. I stamped with Archival Ink, Potting Soil and clear embossed. I love embossing!

I used Antique Linen Distress Ink over the whole image. Then I used Vintage Photo around the edges and inwards. Then I misted the whole thing. I wiped a little off the hats and suits. I let it air dry. I like the color effect after it dried.

Once everything was dry and cool, I used the gears and jewelry jumprings I had in my stash to assemble my ornament.

Once my tree goes up, I will add this to it.

Thanks so much for reading! I hope you find inspiration along the Unruly PaperArts 12 Days of Christmas Hop and with us at Mixed Media Mojo!

Have a great day!
