October 13~ 31 Days of Halloween Wicked Blogger Challenge Day 13~APCC Week 6 Card 2

Day 13 of 31! Love it!!!

SMILE we are almost half way there! I am thinking I will be sad when Smeared and Smudged 31 Days of Halloween is done:( What do you think?

Please visit Terra's blog for the details of the challenge and the daily Scavenger Hunt clue.

This is my second altered playing card for week 6 in Claudine's 26 week ongoing play along for altering an entire deck of playing cards. You can see this week's inspiration HERE and to join us go to this PAGE.

I made a Day of the Dead inspired card today.

The inspirational technique is to use a napkin. I found this Sugar Skull at a $1 store. I have always loved sugar skulls and have slowly collected small things. The bird underneath the skull was stamped on tissue. I adhered both with watered down gel medium. Really fun and effective, I love playing this way.

Hope you are having a great day!

  1. Love the colours of your card. Great skull! Good job!

  2. So cool, what a great sugar skull and I love how you added the bird with it too.

  3. The skull is so awesome! All of the elements compliment each other wonderfully! Excellent job!!

  4. Great sugar skull love the card!

  5. I love the bird inside the skull stamp. Absolutely everything fits together perfectly

  6. Sugar skulls are so much fun, love your altered playing card!

  7. I love this altered playing card - love the sugar skull and the bird underneath - great idea to use a napkin! mo x

  8. I C U 2 !
The skulls look like they are having a party.
I like the eagle "tat" on his forehead.

  9. How fun. Love what you have done with this playing card.

  10. Your layering of the stamp and skull looks amazing! I adore these cards of yours. xxD

  11. Love the giant skull and pretty colours in this card :)

  12. Love the layering on your card--I love playing that way, too! One of my favorite things to do when I feel lacking in inspiration is just to get out my gel medium, papers, tissues, and backing boards or cardstock and start playing.
