Lost Coast Designs Flora & Fluffy Tails Event~Cracked Birds "Be Different"

Hi!

Today we are having a Spring fun event over on Lost Coast Designs Portal to Creativity! It is the Flora & Fluffy Tails funfest!

Hop on over to check it and play along as you have time! We love seeing what you create.

Here is my 6 inch by 6 inch cardboard canvas. I loaded up with as much bright color as I could, hope you like it!

Please click the images to see them a bit bigger!

I used the Lost Coast Designs Mini Cracked Critters Chicken and Cracked Chicken. Both are colored using Nuance water soluble dye powder.

I die cut some flowers using some ancient papers.  I used a sparkly brad for the center.

The bright Dragonfly blue and Moss green are my first play with Canvas Corps Brands Tattered Angels Glimmer Mists, these two colors are in the Starter Kit, Brights. I love the subtle shimmer the Mists have, but it does not photograph easily! The brown diamond background layer has Glimmer Glaze Satchel which adds a wonderful smooth shine.

I also used Glimmer Glam Glitter Paints in Celebrate and Berrylicious in layers on top of the cardboard along with spritzes of It's Orange Glimmer Mist.

Thanks so much! Have a great weekend!

Lost Coast Stamps Playday!~JOY ATC

Hello Lovely People!

Thanks so much for coming back to spend a bit of your precious time, it means so much to me!

I have an ATC to share today made with wonderful stamps by Lost Coast Designs. I wanted to feature one of the new Grunge Borders and Dictionary Words for you today.

Just in case, an ATC is 2 1/2 inches by 3 1/2 inches. I really love the challenge to play in a small space, it is amazing what you can fit into the area and to me, it changes how I see a lot of design elements.

The base is made from the Grunge Border 3" stamp. It is about 3 inches tall and 11 inches long! I don't have a block or mounting supplies for a stamp this size, so....I improvised a bit. I inked up the stamp flat on the table with Archival Cornflower Blue, Tree Branch and Black in random spots. Then I carefully pressed the cardstock half sheet onto the stamp. I loveeeee the way the image came out. All new to me, I know the technique is established by still thrilling :)

"Joy" is stamped in Cornflower Blue Archival ink, one of my new favs.

The edge is inked with Distress Ink Peacock Feathers and sloppy wetted, messy is my rule.

Thanks for reading! I hope you have time to pop over to the Lost Coast Shop and check out our Challenge, too!

Bringing on the New Year New Challenge at Lost Coast Portal to Creativity~Clean and Simple

Happy Monday!

Hope you all survived all your New Years Eve adventures!

Today starts a brand new challenge at Lost Cost Portal to Creativity, our theme is easy this month, Clean and Simple. Link and play as you can I really would love to see what you make! The rules are all listed HERE.

I made an ATC Trio cut from watercolor paper. I used the wonderful Doodle Words stamps by Lost Coast Designs, provided to me for projects and which I am extremely happy and grateful to use, they are great quality and stamp wonderfully!

For the color I used the Nuance by Magenta water-soluble powdered dyes also sold by Lost Coast Designs, given to me for Christmas by a dear friend, thank you! It is my first play with water color powders and it was fun. I am looking forward to doing lots more. The colors are very bright and rich. A teeny bit of powder goes a long way. I do hope you will check out all these great supplies at Lost Coast Designs.

Please click the pictures to see them a bit larger.

The stamped are heat embossed with WOW Opaque Bright White from my own stash. I was inspired to use a technique recently used by Mark, the designer at Visible Image to create the backgrounds.

I hope the New Year brings you Hope, Joy and your Wishes come true!

peace and hugs,

~kim
