Visible Image Sunday Play~Simple Notecards~INKognito

Hi!

Happy Sunday!

Today it's my turn to share some creative Visible Image playtime. The kids are off from school and the time ran away from me a teeny bit. So, I wanted to make something simple and bright.

Hope you like them!

Using some of my most favorite stamps and Inktense Color Blocks, I made some clean and simple notecards. I used the Flower INKognito and Butterfly INKognito Visible Image stamps.

I applied the color block directly onto the stamps in various scribbles.

Misted the stamp with water, Inktense color blocks activate with water and
when dry are very stable and permanent.
The images are stamped onto watercolor paper I cut to size before stamping.

Stamp away, I could easily do tons of these and not get bored!
Each one even using the same colors comes out unique.

Thanks for looking and hope you can make a bit of time to play!
hugs

Visible Image Sunday Play~Dragonfly Mini Canvas

Happy Sunday!

Today I have my Visible Image Sunday Play team project to share. I made a small 4 inch by 5 inch canvas using the beautiful Dragonfly "Live in the Moment" stamp set.

I used my DecoArt Media Misters and Tattered Angels Paint Glimmer Glaze on top of crackle paste for the color. They add some subtle shine and sparkle. I love how the paint seeps into the canvas to bring about more texture.

I heat embossed the dragonfly using Ranger Verdigris embossing powder. The flecks of gold really shine nicely in it!

Hope to see you play at the Visible Image Show & Tell Challenge this month!

Have a wonderful day!

Visible Image Sunday Play~"Bonkers" Mad Hatter!

Happy Sunday!

This week at Visible Image we are celebrating the theatrical release of Alice Through the Looking Glass and playing with some Visible Image mad Alice stamps! There is a Totally Bonkers sale on the Alice stamps, too. Get them while you can, the sale is in the last few hours...

For my DT creation I went mad with the Mad Hatter and MDF Monolith!

This is the awesome Mad Hatter stamp. I took some creative liberty with the sentiment :P
The shattered background is from the How Fragile We Are set.
I used DecoArt Modeling Paste with a Dyan Reavely checkered stencil.
The MDF is painted with black gesso and black DecoArt Fluid Acrylic,
I needed it to be rich and shiny :)

Detail of the front side

Flip side of the monolith using DecoArt Black modeling paste on white stock.
I used my new favorite stamp, Trust Your Madness, that smiley face is wicked great!

Close up of the flip side.

All stamped with Distress Embossing Ink and
WOW Opaque Bright White heat embossing powder.

Have a fabulous mad day!

Visible Image~Sunday Play~Folder "Dream"

Hello!

Happy Sunday!

Today for my Visible Image Sunday Play post, I have made an arty tag from a piece of a file folder. I never throw away my crafty scraps and this was a left-over from another project and I am happy it found its forever home :)

Here we go!

Click to see each picture a bit bigger, thanks! I am really happy with how this one turned out, hope you enjoy it, too!

The focal image is my favorite Visible Image stamp
from my DT stash, Flower INKognito.
I stamped it onto black cardstock and
heat embossed it with WOW Opaque Bright White.

The background is one I made by using
my homemade gelatin plate and layered up
 with various stencils,
paint stamping with bubble wrap and bottle caps/lids.
The smaller Flower INKognito is from
Craft Stamper Magazine April 2016 edition. I was happy to find
a copy just to get this stamp! It is a perfect size for background and smaller areas.

The sentiment, file folder label is DREAM
from the Image Dream Inspire Visible Image stamp set.

Everything is adhered with DecoArt Matte Medium. I edged the 'tag' with black Staz-On.

Have a brilliantly fun day!

Visible Image Sunday Play~Unicorn Magic

Happy Sunday!

Today I have a colorful play for Visible Image to share. Spring is here and there's no better reason to bring about all the bright colors possible, as if I need an excuse for color! Color is wonderful and so happy :)

I  made a mixed media canvas using Unicorn Magic from my DT stash and a few dots from Ink Splats, you can never have too many dots!

Here we go, click to see the photos a bit bigger :)

The substrate is a piece of cardboard scrap from a shipping box. I built up lots of layers using DecoArt Fluid Acrylics, Distress Paint and hot glue.

The awesome images are stamped with Staz-On inks. The circle shaped die cuts are
Seth Apter's new Robo Rings cut from some papers and dotted with Visible Image Ink Splats.

Have a magically colorful day!

Visible Image Sunday Play~ "Create"~ Small Canvas

Happy Sunday!

Today is my Visible Image Sunday Play day, hope you have time to play, too!

You can click each image to see them a bit bigger :)

I started with a 6x6 inch blank canvas. I covered it with DecoArt Gesso,
thinned a little with water. I added some random drywall mesh tape into the wet gesso.
Once dry I used Inktense Color Blocks for the base color.

I added some DecoArt Crackle Glaze randomly along with some modeling paste through stencils for more texture play.

The awesome Vision INKognito eye stamp was stamped onto tissue using Ranger Black Archival. I painted the back side with white to ensure the eye would pop! I attached the tissue with DecoArt Decoupage Napkin medium.

"Create Your Imagination" is from the "This is Me" stamp set.

Final touches, I added some splatters and assorted brads and the baker's twine.

Have a wonderful day!
hugs,

Visible Image Sunday Play~Learn to Fly Again...

Hi!

Today I have another Monolith I made fro Visible Image to share fro my Sunday Play!

Where I live it is sunny and too warm, we seem to skip seasons, Fall, Spring and Winter are days long instead of weeks :) It has been so sunny and warm, it really inspired me to go to the beach...well try to on board anyways! Seaside, whitewashed fresh and peaceful...

This MDF Monolith features the Learn to Fly Again stamps, a brilliant set by the awesome Duo that runs and creates Visible Image Stamps. Fabulous Mark and Helen do it all themselves from designing, to manufacturing and cutting to shipping and service!

I built ip the layers with DecoArt Matte Medium and DecoArt Acrylics and Americana acrylics.

I attached the layers using Decoupage Napkin medium. It works great with stamping on tissue paper.

Have an amazing day and treat yourself to some amazing stamps, you will love them!

Sunday Play with Visible Image Stamps~Listen to your Heart

Hello!

Welcome back to my first post of 2016 for Visible Image, yay! We have some awesome new teamies, hope you can make the time to visit and share some love on their blogs, too. I have them all listed on the sidebar to the left.

I started off with a tag shape and I fully intended for it to be a tag with ribbon and all....but it sort of stayed as a small canvas. I am happy with the bright result, hope you like it!

The base of my tag is heavy watercolor paper. I chose to use the smooth side, for me it makes a better stamped impression. I stamped the Plasma, Ink Splats and Retro Dots Background stamps in clear, bright white and red embossing powders before anything else.

When I start a project, I rarely know where I am going with it. I mean I have an idea, tag, canvas, ATC but I never know where I am going to end up. With this one, I had a moment of panic and almost tossed it aside. The red plasma was so opposite against all the white I wasn't sure what to do. I let it sit....and sit....and finally came back (days) later to attempt to complete it.

For the background I used Nuance water soluble powdered dye available here. I love the bright intense colors they create. The embossing acts a wonderful resist. Once I got the warm colors on the paper, I felt much better!

For the focal point I used one of my favorite sentiments, "Listen to your Heart" from the "This is Me" stamp set. I think I just need to remember to listen to my heart more and shut the nagging brain voices down, what do you think?

Thanks so  much for stopping by today!

hugs 'n peace,
~kim

Visible Image Sunday~Baby It's Cold Outside Art Tag

Hello Happy Sunday!

The weather is finally feels chilly here, funny since about a week ago it was way above average and so hot!

So continuing with my wondeful Wintery tags for Visible Image, I have "Baby it's cold outside", today!

I sort of made my own Wintery set here, I used stamps from three different sets:
all 100% amazing Visible Image, "Baby It's Cold", "White Christmas" and "Rockin Around".

Click each photo to see a bit larger.

The background was created using various acrylic paints on my homemade gelatin plate.

The snowflakes and sentiment were stamped directly onto the tag using Wow Opaque Bright White powder. The "Rockin'" tree was embossed with Wow Metallic Silver Ultra High. The Ultra High makes such an amazing texture, love it! I used a Perfect Medium pen to scribble the icicles and embossed in the same Opaque Bright White.

To add more depth and "chill" I randomly added some UTEE clear all over the tag.

I am freezing now, yikes! Time for some hot chocolate, yum :)

Keep warm & cool where ever you may be!

~hugs

Smile Sparkle Shine~Mixed Media Small Page Canvas~Visible Image Stamps

Hello!

Today I wanted to share a small project I made using my Visible Image Stamps. Lately I have been having fun making half-page canvas pieces. I love the torn edges that remain when removing it from the spiral book!

The paper is Canson Mixed Media. The flowers are Tim Holtz Tattered Floral die cuts, colored with Derwent Inktense color blocks. The scribbles are made with UniBall Signo pens.

I used one of my favorite sentiments, Smile Sparkle Shine from the Express Yourself category for the focal point. I added Grunge Harlequin and Retro Dots background stamps for small touches as well, stamped with Stazon Black.

Visible Image Inspiration Day~Gesso Image Transfer, Dandelions & Texture

Hello Happy Day!

I hope your day is fantastic and leads to a fantastic week!

Before I share my 'canvas' with you today, I want to share a quick link to Visible Image's NEW wonderful Christmas stamps. They are timeless and elegant and will last many years to come. I hope you will pop over and see (and order :) )! Click HERE to transport to the Visible Image Stamp blog, there is a special offer, too :)

Today as promised here is my 'canvas' to share. The substrate is cardboard from a recycled shipping box panel.

Lots of pictures, I really love texture and think I got a bit carried away with it on this one :)

Click to make each image a bit larger.

I coated both sides of the canvas with DecoArt White Gesso.  On top of that I added some stenciled patterns using DecoArt Modelling Paste. I let the whole board dry overnight.

Once it was dry, I covered it with another layer of gesso, sort of a thick layer. I used a laser printed copy of one of my own photographs, the dandelions, and placed it face down into the gesso.

My blog post with the original photograph is HERE

I pressed it down into the gesso by hand and did some more smoothing with a bone folder. I wanted to make sure I got the whole image pressed into the wet gesso. I let it dry overnight again.

Once dry I misted the surface with water then started rubbing off the paper.

Once the image was clear and slightly distressed, I covered the dandelions with a layer of Americana Decoupage Crystal Glitter to seal it. It adds a nice fine sparkle with one layer and helped the main image to stay clear for all the next layers of paint and ink.

The borders all around are built up with layers of DecoArt Crackle paste, Antiquing Cream and various DecoArt acrylics. The majority of the color comes from the English Red Oxide Antiquing Cream layered with alcohol inks.

I used the "Create Your Imagination" sentiment by Visible Image in the This is Me set. The diamonds are cut from the background stamp, Grunge Harlequin. Love the size of both these stamps!

Have a fabulous fun day!
