Back again today with a bright Spring-y ATC pair to share!

I am so happy to use bright colors lately, must be the season :) I had lots of fun with these ATCs, they are always a joy to make. Hope you will give them a try and you can play along in our Mixed Media Challenge!

Step by Step over at ARTplorations

STAMPlorations Stencil Sunday~New Mixed Media Challenge

Happy Sunday!

New month and new challenges to play along with as Spring gets going!

This is my second post for you today, hope you like it! Please scroll down to see my Visible Image stamp play today, too :)

I made a 5 by 7 wood canvas today using a new stencil from ARTplorations called Merry Go Round and I love it!! I am pretty sure you will see many many more projects form me using it. Hope you like it too, check it out HERE!


Here is my wood canvas, click to see the photos a bit bigger :)

I finger painted globbed smooshed and pushed the background in 

Americana Cotton Ball White & Chartreuse and a splash of Distress Paint Picked Raspberry.

I swirled some puddles with the no brush end of the paintbrush. 

Flicked white all over. literally all over everything on my table :)

I love polka dots!

Once dry or sorta of dry, using DecoArt Modeling Paste I added the spinny-wheels, love them!

More drying time...then layered up the wheels with 

Distress Paints, Picked Reaspberry, Mustard Seed and Wild Honey.

The wheels looked lonely so I had to make more dots!

I stamped and fussy/messy cut the sentiment and butterflies. One's stamp collection can never have too many butterflies, known fact! These are a must have set I am sure!

I used the ARTplorations LARGE stencil FEARLESS and my homemade gelatin plate. The border was stamped with Stazon ink and the STAMPlorations ARTSY BORDER MAKER stamp.

STAMPlorations Stencil Sunday~Blossom like a Butterfly

Today starts a new mixed media challenge at STAMPlorations! Spring is on my mind with the extra warm weather about me here, so it makes a grand excuse to play with butterflies some more :)

The challenge is always Anything Goes, use any stencil. If you link up and post the banner on your post you have a chance to win some shopping at STAMPlorations. The stamps I used here today and stencil can be found in Shery's Shop STAMPlorations HERE

DT stash I used:

STAMPlorations stamp: Blossom like a Butterfly

ARTploratons stencil: Daisy Dance

Stamps were all heat embossed with WOW Opaque Bright White. 

All colors are Nuance by Magenta

I added the dots on the dots with a paint pen :)

Stencil Sunday~Mixed Media Canvas~"Take the Scenic Route"

Hello!

Today I have a project shared on the STAMPlorations blog and a few extra pictures to share here.

I used the ARTplorations stencils Oh My Stars, Retro Circles and Some Birds. These were all stencils I was given to create samples for STAMPlorations and I really do  love them!

For the sweetie bird, I traced the shape using the stencil on a sheet of book pages I layered with DecoArt matte medium. The outline is a Gold pen.

The colors on the bottom layers are built up with Decoupage Medium, Nuance water soluble powders and DecoArt Media Mister. Love the intense colors. The top layers are splattered with more paints and ink sprays.

Stencil Sunday~New Mixed Media Challenge Today~Use a Stencil

Hey there...

Today begins a new Mixed Media Challenge with STAMPlorations! The theme is always Anything Goes except a card, and use a stencil.

I used the ARTplorations Foiled Again and Happy Flowers stencils.

I created the wonderful crackle using DecoArt Crackle Paste and it is colored with Perfect Pearls powder.

Stencil Sunday STAMPlorations New Mixed Media Challenge

Hi Happy Sunday!

It's the first Sunday of the New Year and new month so that means another fabulous Mixed Media Challenge with STAMPlorations! The Mixed Media Challenge is always anything goes except a card, add a stencil. All the rules and inspiration this Sunday can be found HERE

To share today, I used some stamps and stencils provided to me to play. Love them lots!

Today's page uses STAMPlorations Bold Sentiment stamp and the ARTplorations stencils Retro Circles standard and the Happy Flowers Large full page stencil.

I used my awesome DecoArt paints and Texture paste I received from the DecoArts Blogger Program. The paste is awesome and blends well with acrylic paints. I love how smooth the stencil comes out using the paste.

Once dry I brushed on some DecoArt Media Fluid Acrylic Gold for the extra shine.

The sentiment is stamped using Jet Black Archival ink.

Stencil Sunday~Mailart with STAMPlorations

Hello!

Today I have a mailart envelope to share made with all stencils by ARTplorations! Today begins a new mixed media challenge at STAMPlorations and it is anything goes except at card and use any stencil. You can see all the inspiration from my teamies and all the details HERE

My basic print was pulled from my homemade gelatin plate with various DecoArt acrylic paints. The big arrows and feathers are from the new large full page size ARTplorations stencil called Feathers & Arrows. The new large stencils are just about 8 inches by 10 inches and wonderful!

"Hello" and "Create" are also made using ARTplorations stencils. The doodly flowers on the side are from the "Bloom Factory" stencil.

This is the full envelope before folding :)

I used a template I found at Mischief Circus by Crowabout StudioB

I love how the back shows off the gorgeous feathers!
